Skip to Main ContentThe Snow College Writing Lab is a great resource for assistance in formatting citations and writing help.
The Writing Lab is located in the Humanities Building, Room 165 on the Ephraim Campus and in the SVC Lower Level on the Richfield Campus.
Snow College also has an online writing lab.
Tutors in the Lab provide assistance in all steps of the writing process. On their website, you'll find a list of things the Writing Center will and will not do.
Most of the Snow College library databases have a citation tool that automatically generates citations for you in MLA, APA, and other styles. When you are in a database and have located an article or a book you need to cite, look for a button labeled Cite or Citation. Be aware that citation generators can contain errors or missing information. Always proofread the citation for accuracy and edit, when necessary.
MLA is the citation style commonly used for research in the humanities, including many English classes. The following resources will help you learn how to format MLA citations.
APA is the citation style commonly used for research in the social and behavioral sciences, business, education, and the sciences. The following resources will help you learn how to format APA citations.
